VICTOR CAME HOME JULY 28, 2010

Victor came home July 28, 2010!! We cleaned the house, ironed clothes and made a huge banner to take to the airport.

We got to the airport and from a distance saw more than 400 soldiers geting off the airplane and walking into another building for processing. We waved our big banner and thought we saw our daddy in the distance.

Then we waited and waited and waited.

The Army had a jumping house and some other activities for the kids to do while we waited for all the soldiers to turn in their weapons and get briefed.

All the soldiers lined up outside the building behind a huge warehouse door and knocked on the door. All the families on the other side were screaming and yelling for them to open the door. When they opened the door everyone yelled and screamed and cried while the soldiers lined up in formation.

After they were dismissed we went and looked for our daddy!!! We were so excited to see him. Victor hugged and kissed all the kids.

Victor had been traveling for four days and just wanted to go home. Thought I brought my camera, we were so excited for everything that I didn't even think to take it out. All these memories will have to stay in our hearts!!

So glad Victor is home safe with all of you. I'm sure you all are loving having him home. Love the picture of you with your kids, Ann. Beautiful as always.

Hi Victor and Ann!

Anginette and I occasionally think of you both and reminisce. I see some people from Ann Arbor here in Utah and we think of all the dear friends we made while in AA 1st. You both definitely fit into that category.

I remembered when Victor when off to basic training and I had the privilege of giving him a blessing prior to his departure. I remembering blessing him to be a missionary. I also remember him reporting back that there were no opportunities that he had no experiences of that sort. As I look at this blog and periodically since we left Michigan, I think of that blessing and how much may have been in relation to all your military service...

You have a beautiful family! If you ever pass through Utah, we'd love to see you for even an hour. I know how it is when there are so many people to see, but do keep us in mind.
