The Star of the Christmas show was.....

Hannah was literally one of the Stars at the third grade Christmas pageant last night. She danced with her fellow stars to "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" and sang "I'm getting nuttin' for Christmas". It was very cute to watch. Hannah is growing up so fast and I realized she may not be in many more Christmas pageants--or at least not as an adorable star or tree.

I have, in the past, rationalized staying home with the rest of the kids while Dad takes a child to an activity.  I now understand how important it is for me to make an effort to be there. As soon as Hannah walked out on stage, she quickly scanned the room to find us. I decided then and there that I always want my child to look for me and find me cheering them on! It would be a sad day indeed if they ever stopped looking.
