First Days of School

The girls were so excited for the first day of school they could hardly sleep. We actually moved the girls to a charter school this year and it was a GREAT decision.

The school really believes that kids learn best when they are having fun--so almost all lessons are created in a hands on--fun way. The classes have only 18 kids and the school requires 50 hours of volunteer hours from parents--so there is a lot of family involvement in all aspects of school. The school values nutrition and doesn't allow "empty calorie" foods at the school--which is so great because now Naomi and Hannah are eatting healthy and not complaining that they want fruit roll-ups etc.. like all their friends!!! The kids can move at their own pace. They whole school has math the same hour so if a 3rd grader can do 5th grade math he/she goes to the 5th grade class for math class. I could go on and on about how great a school it is...
